Interesting Information About the Case |
D.B. Cooper boarded the plane that had 36 people on the flight. The only thing Cooper had was a brief case. During the flight he called the flight attendant to his seat and told her a bomb was inside. This is when he made his demands. His demands were $200,000 cash and 4 parachutes.
The flight attendants described him as calm, thoughtful, and a rather nice individual The plane did make it to Seattle and he let all the passengers off. This is when he received his money and parachutes. He did keep the pilot, co-pilot, flight engineer, and one flight attendant on the plane. When he had what he needed he made them take off again and head towards New Mexico. During this flight is when he jumped out of the rear door of the plane and was never seen again. |
Cooper jumped out of the plane during the night while police had 5 different planes tailing the jetliner. Even though police had 5 planes tailing the jetliner none of the officers ever witnessed him jump from the plane.
He received $200,000 of ransom money and when he jumped he lost $5,800 that was later found by a little boy. FBI also says D.B. Cooper couldn't of survived the jump. Law enforcement agencies searched through all the possible places Cooper could of landed but they never found a trace of him. D.B. Cooper also never used the marked money that he received. The police distributed the serial numbers to every possible institution that deals with cash transactions and the money was never used. So did D.B. Cooper die when he jumped from the plane? Or did Cooper survive and escape? |
